Daily Mathler

The Idea

Daily Mathler hides a true equation — something like 35+12=47 — behind eight blank tiles. You have six guesses to uncover it. After every guess, the tiles show their colors: green for a character in the right spot, purple for one that belongs in the equation but sits in the wrong place, and gray for one that isn't in it at all.

Every guess must itself be a true equation, so each attempt is a small piece of mental arithmetic — and each answer narrows the mystery. It's the daily word-guessing ritual you know, rebuilt for numbers.

One shared daily puzzle arrives each day — the same equation for every player in the world — and unlimited practice is always open when you want more.

How To Play

1Type a true equation
Use the digits 0–9 and the symbols + − × ÷ =. Both sides must actually compute — 12+35=47 works, 12+35=99 won't be accepted.
2Read the colors
Green tiles are in exactly the right spot. Purple tiles are part of the equation but placed wrong. Gray tiles aren't in it. The keyboard remembers everything you've learned.
3Narrow it down
Order of operations matters — × and ÷ happen before + and −. Use logic and arithmetic together to close in on the answer within six guesses.
4Ask for a hint when stuck
A hint reveals one correct tile. Free players earn hints by watching a short ad; Remove Ads makes them instant.
5Share your grid
Win or lose, share your color-grid result as emoji — spoiler-free, so friends can race the same daily equation themselves.

Questions

What counts as a valid equation?

Any arithmetic statement using 0–9 and + − × ÷ = where both sides are truly equal. The app computes with exact fractions, and × and ÷ take precedence over + and −, just like in school.

When does a new daily puzzle arrive?

A new equation unlocks at midnight, and it's the same for every player in the world. No connection needed — the daily puzzle works entirely offline.

What if I want to play more than once a day?

Easy, Medium and Hard practice modes and the six-tile Mini mode are always open, with thousands of equations to work through at your own pace.

I found the right math but in a different order — do I lose?

No. By default, a valid rearrangement of the answer (like 35+12=47 for 12+35=47) counts as a win, because it's the same equation at heart. Purists can switch to strict mode in Settings.

Does it support Dark Mode?

Yes — choose System, Light, or Dark in Settings, and dress the board in any theme you've unlocked.

Daily Mathler does not collect, share, or sell any personal data.
All game data, statistics, achievements, and progress are stored locally on your device, with an optional backup through your own iCloud.
No account or sign-in is required to play.
The app shows ads through Google AdMob; before any tracking across other companies' apps and websites for personalized advertising, the app asks your permission using Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT). You may allow or deny this, and change your choice anytime in Settings.
Anonymous, aggregate usage analytics (Google / Firebase Analytics) help us improve the app and are not used to identify you.
The app does not track your location or access personal information.
