1. How do I play connections!!?
You are presented with 16 words arranged in a 4×4 grid. Your goal is to find 4 groups of 4 words that share a common theme or connection. Tap on 4 words you think belong together, then submit your guess. If correct, the category is revealed. You have 4 mistakes allowed before the game ends.
2. What do the different colors mean?
Each category has a difficulty level indicated by color:
- Yellow: Easiest - straightforward connections
- Green: Medium - requires more thought
- Blue: Hard - tricky connections
- Purple: Trickiest - often involves wordplay or obscure links
3. What is Daily Puzzle mode?
Every day, a new puzzle is available for all players. Complete the daily puzzle to maintain your streak. The puzzle resets at midnight (local time). You only get one chance per day - if you run out of mistakes, the puzzle ends and you'll need to wait for the next day's puzzle.
4. What is Practice mode?
Practice mode offers unlimited randomly generated puzzles. Play as many puzzles as you want to sharpen your skills. You can replay puzzles, try new ones, and practice without affecting your daily streak.
5. How do streaks work?
Complete the daily puzzle each day to build your streak. Your streak shows how many consecutive days you've completed the daily challenge. Miss a day and your streak resets to zero. A countdown timer shows when the next daily puzzle becomes available.
6. What happens if I make a wrong guess?
You have 4 mistakes allowed per puzzle. If you select 4 words that don't form a category, you lose one mistake. The tiles will shake to indicate an incorrect guess. If you use all 4 mistakes, the game ends and the remaining categories are revealed.
7. Can I shuffle the tiles?
Yes! Tap the Shuffle button to rearrange the word tiles. This can help you see new patterns and connections you might have missed.
8. Can I deselect words?
Yes! Tap a selected word again to deselect it. You can also use the Deselect All button to clear all your selections at once.
9. Does connections!! work offline?
Yes! connections!! works completely offline. All puzzles are stored locally on your device. You can play anytime, anywhere without an internet connection.
10. Can I customize the appearance?
Yes! Go to Settings to choose your preferred appearance mode: Light, Dark, or System (follows your device setting). Premium subscribers can also customize category colors, font colors, and font styles.
11. How do I turn off sounds or haptics?
Go to Settings to toggle Sound Effects and Haptics on or off according to your preference.

Subscription Terms
