1. How do I play SpellTower Puzzle?

Swipe across adjacent letter tiles (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) to form words of at least 3 letters. When you've formed a valid word, tap "Confirm" to submit it. The tiles are removed, remaining tiles fall down with gravity, and your score increases. In Tower mode, clear as many tiles as you can. In Puzzle mode, new rows push up from the bottom after each word.

2. What do the tile colors mean?

Each tile type has a distinct color and special effect:

• Normal Tiles: Standard letter tiles worth 1 point each.
• Green (Row Clear) Tiles: Clears the entire row when used in a word. Great for opening up the board.
• Star Tiles: Multiplies your word score. Each star adds +1 to the multiplier (1 star = ×2, 2 stars = ×3).
• Numbered Tiles: Worth more points but require a minimum word length (e.g., a #4 tile needs at least 4 letters).
• Dead Tiles: Blocked cells that cannot be selected or passed through. Work around them!

3. How does scoring work?

The scoring formula is transparent and shown in real-time during gameplay:

• Word Score: (Letter Sum) × (Word Length) × (1 + Star Count)
• Row Clear Bonus: (Cleared Tiles Sum) × (Word Length)
• Longer words earn dramatically more points due to the length multiplier.

4. What are the three game modes?

• Tower: Start with a full board and clear tiles at your own pace. No time pressure, pure strategy. Game ends when no valid words remain.
• Puzzle: New rows push up from the bottom after each word. Game over when tiles overflow the top. Requires quick thinking and forward planning.
• Daily Challenge: A new puzzle every day, with the same board for all players worldwide. Build your streak and compare scores with friends!

5. What is the Daily Challenge?

Every day, a new puzzle is generated using a shared seed — meaning every player worldwide gets the exact same board. Complete it to build your daily streak! Your progress is automatically saved, so you can close the app and resume where you left off anytime.

6. What achievements can I unlock?

SpellTower Puzzle features 14 achievements across multiple categories:

• Milestones: First Steps (first word), Game On (complete a game), Dedicated (10 games), Word Machine (20+ words in one game)

The Stats screen provides a comprehensive overview including:

• Best Tower / Puzzle: High scores for each mode
• Achievements: Progress tracking with unlock animations

8. Can I resume a game later?

Yes! Your game is automatically saved after every word. If you leave and come back later, you'll see a "Continue" button on the home screen to pick up right where you left off.

9. What are rare letters?

The letters Q, J, X, and Z are considered rare letters. When used in a word, they trigger a row clear effect on their row — just like green tiles. This rewards players for finding words with uncommon letters.

10. Does the app require an internet connection?

No. The word dictionary is bundled locally in the app, so you can play completely offline. An internet connection is only needed for optional features like ads and subscription management.

Tips for Success

• Go long: Word length is a multiplier — a 6-letter word scores far more than two 3-letter words.
• Use green tiles strategically: Trigger row clears with longer words to maximize the row clear bonus.
• Save stars for big words: Star tiles multiply the entire word score, so combine them with long words.
• Look for common patterns: TH, ING, ER, ED, and TION are great building blocks.
• Clear from the bottom in Tower: Opening up the lower rows gives tiles more room to fall.
• Plan ahead in Puzzle mode: New rows push up after each word, so think about what's coming next.
